  • Komplete 7, Native Instruments' flagship software bundle, will be available as of September. The latest version of the suite will bring together a total of 24 instruments and effects, which we're told equates to "10,000 sounds and 90 GByte of samples." Among five new products wrapped up in the package is Reaktor Prism, a modal synthesizer designed by NI founder Stephan Schmitt; Reflektor, a studio reverb that sports a zero latency convolution engine; and Traktor's 12 which takes its cues from NI's popular DJ software and offers a range of different effects. All the latest versions of NI's flagship synths and samplers are present—Absynth 5, Battery 3.1, FM8, Kontakt 4.1 and Massive—although perhaps the most notable is the arrival of Reaktor 5.5. The modular studio environment has come in for improvements to the GUI in addition to new modal and additive synthesis options, plus a new synth named Lazerbass. On the instruments and effects front, Komplete 7 users will be able to get their hands on Guitar Rig 4.1, Abbey Road 60s Drums, Tim Exile's The Finger, Scarbee MM-Bas and Vintage Keys, as well as all four acoustic pianos from the Classic Piano collection. Komplete 7 will be available as of September 2010 with a suggested retail price of $559/499 Euro, while Komplete 2/3/4/5/6 users will be offered an upgrade for $229/199 Euro.
