- A compilation of Karl O'Connor's remastered dubplates is available now on Downwards.
Karl O'Connor, AKA Regis, has released a compilation of old productions called Death Said Head.
The double-LP brings together a slew of dubplates that came out of the studio sessions for "Death Said Head," the opening track from Disintegration, O'Connor's 2000 album with Peter Sutton and Ian J. Richardson. Regis used these tracks "to layer over live electronics" in his live shows in the late '90s. A press release describes them as "interlocking pieces that were constructed to be played back to back." All seven tracks have been remastered for this release. Death Said Head came out this week on O'Connor's label, Downwards. You can hear samples from the album here.
