- The Scottish producer's debut album will come out through Donky Pitch in April.
Lockah will drop his first album on April 14th.
The Scottish producer, who recently made a move down south from his hometown of Aberdeen to Brighton, has released a few EPs of playful instrumental hip-hop for Mad Decent, Slugabed's Activia Benz and ????? (including 2012's Please Lockah, Don't Hurt 'Em). He also runs his own imprint, Tuff Wax. But it's Brighton's Donky Pitch where he's made his most recent home, and that's where he'll release his first full-length, called Yahoo Or The Highway. Armed with plenty of lengthy track titles, as usual, the record sees him explore slower and more restrained territory, all the while incorporating influences from "italo disco to electro [and] rave to R&B." The LP's release was preceded this month by a single release for "If Loving U Is Wrong, I Don't Want To Be Wrong," which you can listen to here. We've also got an exclusive stream of another album track, "Contact High Wit Big Lockah," which you can hear below.
