- Desire will handle the first ever re-release of the Austrian artist's 1980 classic LP.
Monoton's Monotonprodukt 02 will be reissued on September 29th.
The album was originally self-released by Konrad Becker under the Monoton alias in 1980. Monotonprodukt 02 was a landmark record that established Becker's minimalist electronic sound, and it would go on to be influential in the experimental, techno and ambient spheres. Desire will reissue the album—the first time it's ever been repressed since its first release 1980, according to Juno Plus—and it follows their reissue of Monotonprodukt 07 back in 2012. The label describes the LP as "a key influence on the brand of Eurotronica found on labels from Kompakt to Mego." Check out opening track "Ein Wort" below.
