Point Blank has its sights set on Los Angeles.
The London-based music school, where aspiring producers can learn the ways of Ableton Live and DJing, amongst other pursuits, will open its first US branch in the city's Silverlake neighborhood. It'll be housed in Mack Sennett Studios, a historic film industry soundstage that's been revamped as a space for music video shoots, Oscar afterparties and the like. Point Blank LA's first term begins in January 2015, and they'll initially offer a six-month, two-day-per-week Music Production and Sound Design Certificate course; a three-month, one-day-per-week Intro to Music Production: Ableton Live course; and a weekend-long Live workshop.
