So their reliability may be questioned, but the news announced by various press sources of Erick Morillo’s alleged imminent retirement has shocked many of us... including the man himself. Erick has commented on recent reports that he won’t be ‘retiring’, but just taking a break. It appears that the simple statement that sparked the controversy was "When I turn 35 I am going to stop DJing to start a family”.
Erick is known the world over for the infectiously electric house music sound that gets entire clubs on their feet. His break will hardly mean the end of his DJing career, as he is set to release an artist album in the near future featuring collaborations with P Diddy, Boy George and just recently released his Subliminal Sessions 5 compilation.
