  • Ableton has revealed the first run of artists for Loop 2018. Taking place in Los Angeles from November 9th to 11th, Ableton's three-day summit for music makers will include workshops with Jamaican dancehall experimentalists Equiknoxx and Japanese footwork doyen Foodman, who will both lift the lid on their creative approach. The likes of Lafawndah and Binkbeats will unpack their take on live performance while Photay looks into polyrhythms and integrating foley recordings into music production. The announcement is rounded out by Coco Solid, a New Zealand rapper, who'll share her insights on collaboration. Expect more artists to be announced in the coming months. Places at Loop are limited but you still have time to register before applications close on August 10th. You can get a sense of what's on offer at the summit with Loop Hub, where you can find talks and performances with the likes of modular synthesist Caterina Barbieri, veteran mastering engineer Mandy Parnell and RVNG Intl. artist Holly Herndon.
