- The "acid funk techno" LP Excrescence is out in December.
Damon Wild's Synewave label is releasing its first full-length in a decade.
Excrescence comes from Epi Centrum, an alias of Jurek Przezdziecki—a Polish producer whose discography goes back to the early 2000s, when he used to make psytrance. He's been releasing on Synewave for almost nine years, and Excrescence is his fourth record for the label. The press release says that the eight-track "acid funk techno" album "mixes old and new, tapping [into] seminal Detroit retrofuturism and heavy-duty pounding mania," while also referencing groups like Coil and SPK.
Synewave is also in the midst of a reissue campaign that sees the long-running label repressing some of its most enduring records, including Joey Beltram's SW37 12-inch.
