- The Black Book contains 19 new tracks from artists on Joachim Nordwall's experimental label.
iDEAL Recordings is releasing a 20th anniversary compilation called The Black Book this week.
The three-LP set offers 19 new tracks from some of the key artists on the label, including JASSS, Jim O'Rourke, Mokira, Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe and Dungeon Acid. Sunn O))) member Stephen O'Malley, Ascetic House man JS Aurelius and Pact Infernal appear as well, along with a collaboration between Prurient and Carlos Giffoni.
iDEAL, now based in Sweden, was started by Joachim Nordwall in London in 1998, and has since released experimental electronic music from a wide variety of artists including Merzbow, Wolf Eyes, Mika Vainio, Russell Haswell and more.
