  • Berlin Community Radio will close next month. On the BCR website, founders Anastazja Moser and Sarah Miles announced the surprising end to the independent project they started in 2013. "It is with heavy heart that we came to this decision, but we reached a dead end and spirits have fallen low after losing all funding in 2018." The note goes on to express appreciation for the unpaid labor from volunteers and creative contributors, but the founders "simply do not believe this is how things should be done." BCR hosted over 100 shows, which included an array of music and cultural exchange. The station originally set out to highlight talent coming from, passing through or influencing the scene in Berlin. This has included an extensive list of artists, labels and promoters. Among them, DJ Richard, version, Laurel Halo, rRoxymore and Palms Trax are just a few. Read BCR's full statement here.
