  • Composer William Basinski will release his next album via Temporary Residence Limited in March. On Time Out Of Time features recordings from LIGO's (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory) interferometers that "captur[e] the sounds of the merging of two distant massive black holes, 1.3 billion years ago," according to the press release. It was commissioned for artists Evelina Domnitch and Dmitry Gelfand's 2017 installations ER=EPR and Orbihedron. The LP's title track is 40 minutes long, with the vinyl edition including a version subtitled "(The Lovers)" on the B-side. On the digital release, "On Time Out Of Time" is instead accompanied by a track called "4(E+D)4(ER=EPR)." Listen to Basinski on the RA Exchange last year.
