Weaponise Your Sound will be released on March 8th through Optimo Music.
NTS DJ Kristina McCormick launched the Weaponise Your Sound series on International Women's Day last year. Optimo Music has now launched a sub-label of the same name to support McCormick's project. The forthcoming vinyl set includes new material from C.A.R., Cucina Povera, Penelope Trappes (who put out her debut album on Optimo Music in 2017), Marika Underspreche, Fantastic Twins and more.
The compilation stemmed from McCormick's NTS show, Diet Clinic, which showcases female DJs and artists. All proceeds from the International Women's Day release will benefit the London charity Focus E15, which fights for equitable housing.
