  • The art and design studio Metahaven has tapped experimental composer Kara-Lis Coverdale to score their new short film, Elektra. Debuting at the Berliner Festspiele in September, Elektra is designed to be screened in a planetarium. Metahaven describes it as "a parable about the planetary dome in which the film will be projected" in yesterday's Instagram post. "The dome's semi-sphere enables a different kind of seeing, because the eye is met by tableaus to roam and dive into." The Dutch collective, who notably collaborated with the whistleblower platform WikiLeaks, has worked with a few different avant-garde producers and composers, including Laurel Halo, Holly Herndon and M.E.S.H.
