Equiknoxx have a surprise new album out called Eternal Children.
For the first time, all five members have collaborated on record—that's three producer/vocalists (Gavsborg, Bobby Blackbird, Time Cow) and two vocalists (Shanique Marie, Kemikal Splash). The eight-track LP, which is out via Equiknoxx Music, spans dancehall, hip-hop and more. Half of it was recorded during a single session at Anchor Studios in Kingston, with cameos coming from Manchester MC Fox, longtime collaborator Alozade and Gavsborg's younger brother, Brent Bird.
Out today on vinyl, with a digital release to follow in July, Eternal Children is the third Equiknoxx album, following Bird Sound Power and Colón Man, both released through Demdike Stare's DDS label.
