  • Be With Records will release the late Detroit producer Leon Ware's final album, Rainbow Deux, as a double-LP next month. The label describes the album as Ware's "most focused and cohesive solo offerings since the 1980s," offering slow jams that are "mellow, deep and smooth as silk." The 11-track LP features production from longtime friend Taylor Grave, alongside contributions from the likes of Kamasi Washington, Thundercat and Ronald Bruner Jr. Be With Records' very first release was a reissue of Ware's self-titled album in 1982. In the months following the artist's death in 2017, the label also reissued his classic 1981 record, Leon Ware Rockin' You Eternally. Rain Deux's sleeve art was drafted from a series of watercolor pieces rediscovered in Leon's apartment titled "Deux Hearts." The package also features photographs, quotes and tributes to the influential producer. Listen to Rain Deux here.
