It's his first record for the label in nine years.
Shed will release his fifth album, Oderbruch, on Ostgut Ton at the end of November.
The record is centered around the Oderbruch region in former East Germany, where René Pawlowitz grew up and continues to split his time when not in Berlin. The track titles and the artwork by Arnim Tölke reflect the region's "marshy landscape," in addition to political and historical changes Oderbruch underwent as the last Eastern Front during World War II and following the dissolution of the GDR.
Oderbruch is Shed's first release on Ostgut Ton since his 2010 sophomore album, The Traveller. On December 8th, he will play the new album live in full at Säule during the Berghain Klubnacht.
