- It'll be released on Rings Around Saturn's label, Repeat Concrete.
Sydney producer Hugh B will release his first album, Welcome To The Error Zone, on Repeat Concrete this month.
With past records as Hubert Clarke Jr dropping on 100% Silk and Wolf Music, Hugh Burridge's music as Hugh B had, until now, been released only on his own OTIS Records imprint. His debut full-length sees him land on the new label run by Melbourne friend and collaborator Rory McPike, AKA Rings Around Saturn. The press release describes Welcome To The Error as a dive into electronic funk and deep grooves, with vocoder featuring on a number of the tracks.
The album will drop simultaneously with a new Rings Around Saturn record, Wavetable2. It serves as a sequel to the label's second release, Wavetable, with McPike experimenting with FM and digital modular synthesis across seven tracks originally written for shows in 2018 that saw him supporting Autechre, Mogwai and Panda Bear.
