- The six-track LP from the Chilean-born, Brazil-based artist comes out on Mamba Rec this month.
Valesuchi will release her debut full-length, TRAGICOMIC, on Mamba Rec later this month.
The Chilean-born, Brazil-based DJ and producer is in the midst of a breakthrough year that has included touring in Europe and India. TRAGICOMIC, however, deals with matters closer to home, what she calls "the private and the public tragedies." Valentina Montalvo, who has been outspoken on matters such as equitable cultural exchange, tries to navigate the response to these tragedies—some comic, some not—over the course of the album. She's used a photo of her mother for the cover art.
She'll release TRAGICCOMIC on October 24th via Mamba Rec, the label wing of São Paulo party Mamba Negra. The imprint is run by recent RA podcaster Cashu and Carneosso.
