  • Venetian Snares will reissue his first-ever vinyl release on Timesig this December. Aaron Funk originally released Greg Hates Car Culture in 1999 on Minneapolis label History Of The Future. The 20-year anniversary reissue has been remastered and features three additional tracks—"Milk," "Eating America With Pointed Dentures" and "Punk Kids"—which were previously exclusives or only available on the rare 1998 cassette Spells. Most of the tracks were recorded live, though "Aqap" was recorded on Funk's first PC. The album follows many releases on Planet Mu, among other labels, over the last two decades. Most recently, Funk collaborated with Daniel Lanois on his own imprint, Timesig. Revisit our 2014 feature with Funk. Listen to "Aqap."
