German techno veteran Sven Väth is embarking on a world tour to promote the launch of his 'The Sound of the Fifth Season' CD/DVD set which provides a retrospective of Sven's 'Cocoon' night's fifth and most successful season to date at Ibiza supercub, Amnesia. Following a visit to Cocoon in Ibiza, Mixmag - not normally known for their love of techno - wrote that "Cocoon kicked the ass off every other night on the island for musical excitement and raw, bpm thrills. Cocoon made techno very, very cool again."
Notably as part of the tour Sven will also be making his first visit to the Winter Music Conference in Miami for quite a while, with dates at both Space34 and B.E.D. in late March.
