- Sasha becomes the Lord of the remix as he takes on the first single "Precious" from Depeche Mode's highly-anticipated new album.
One of the most highly-anticipated albums this year currently awaiting release is the new long player from Depeche Mode, "Playing The Angel", which will be released worldwide in October 2005.
In addition to being high on the list of many dance music producers' musical influences, Depeche Mode has also become one of the most remixed, bootlegged and mash-upped bands on the planet. Who can forget Danny Tenaglia's remix of 'I Feel Loved', the Deep Dish and Josh Wink remixes of 'Freelove' or Dave Clarke's spin on 'Dream On' from 2001's "Exciter"? Not to mention the various bootlegs of 'Only When I Lose Myself', 'Enjoy The Silence' and 'Behind The Wheel' from prior Depeche Mode albums.
For the first single off the new album, "Precious", remix duties have been assigned to Sasha, who no doubt has put his Ableton Live skills to full use. Already played by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 Essential Selection show on August 5th 2005, the remix will shortly be doing the promo rounds.
Depeche Mode's "Precious" will be released October 3rd in the UK and Europe and October 4th in the US.
