  • Underworld will once again headline Smash Japan's annual indoor electronic music event, Electraglide, which takes place on Friday November 25th in Tokyo and Saturday November 26th in Osaka. The Underworld pair of Karl Hyde and Rick Smith have become crowd favourites since their appearance alongside Orbital and Richie Hawtin at the first ever Electraglide - which many still rate as the best ever - back in the year 2000. Joining Underworld on the Live stage this year will be Warp's Autechre and Ninja Tune's Coldcut. The combination of Underworld, who usually bring along their multimedia outfit Tomato and Coldcut, famed for their VJ mixing software VJamm, should make for some interesting eye candy for the usually 20,000 plus crowd. Making their debut appearances at Electraglide this year on the DJ stage will be Carl Cox and Tiga with one more guest still to be announced. Electraglide takes place at Makuhari Messe in east Tokyo and at ATC Hall in Osaka on the last Friday and Saturday of November respectively. Advanced tickets go on sale September 2nd and will set you back a cool 8,500yen.
