Overmono and Joy Orbison have collaborated on a new single on XL Recordings.
Lead track "Bromley" is named after the London borough where Overmono—the duo of Tom and Ed Russell—have their studio. The duo credit reverse commuting, heading into the suburbs every day, as helping clear their heads to make music.
This is the first time the three artists have collaborated together. Earlier this month, Overmono released their first EP of the year, while Joy Orbison put out his latest 12-inch, Slipping, in October. (He also released an EP on Ed Russell's Poly Kicks label back in May.)
