  • Séance Centre is kicking off a new imprint called Mixed Signals on March 27th. Mixed Signals is run by Séance Centre founder Brandon Hocura alongside Henry Jones, AKA Smiling C, and the goal is to explore "underexposed dance music." Like its parent label, Mixed Signals will focus on rare private presses or unreleased archival recordings. The three debut releases all come out on March 27th. First up is a two-track EP from Vauxhall, New Jersey, band Eros, featuring their mid-'70s track "Go For It," which earned them a record deal offer from Motown, and a remake dating from 1985. (Mixed Signals will release another record from Eros with their Motown material in the near future.) The second 12-inch, Reconnected, collects tracks from Harold Lucious's 1990 R&B album Connections, and the third comes from the Chicago group LITIA=LOE. It's a reissue of their 1989 EP Each Dawn Every Dawn, co-released with Melbourne's Left Ear Records. Watch a video for LITIA=LOE's "Each Dawn Every Dawn (The Day After)," and listen to more clips at the Mixed Signals SoundCloud page.
