- Out June 12th, the LP was inspired by "unlived memories" of '70s and '80s Russian and Japanese pop music and film.
Kate NV's third album will arrive June 12th via RVNG Intl.
With 2018's для FOR, Kate NV "[tried] to make a Buchla synthesizer mirror human imperfections." Though she wrote the new LP, Room For The Moon, out of sketches prior to making her last album, she sought to "reconnect with her own voice" after working with synthesizers on для FOR. The songs, sung in Russian, French and English, are inspired by "unlived memories" of '70s and '80s Russian and Japanese pop music and film.
The album features Jenya Gorbunov on bass guitar, Vladimir Luchanskiy on saxophone, Quinn Oulton on both instruments and spoken word by musician Nami Sato.
"I spent almost a year and half sitting, at best, or bending over the table," Kate NV said. "In the end, my body rebelled, on some kind of physical level. I always let music express herself without pressure, and with or without voice."
