  • Take The Reins, a new pilot initiative to help underrepresented groups in Greater Manchester access the music industry, is launching at The Warehouse Project this autumn. Run by the Manchester promoter in partnership with Resident Advisor and music charity Brighter Sound, the four-week programme will give participants hands-on experience in different areas of running events, from sound and lights to visuals and artist liaison. "We're looking forward to creating a platform for real growth that will hopefully inspire other companies to do the same," said Kim O'Brien, director of operations at The Warehouse Project. Take The Reins is open to everyone, though priority will be given to people of marginalised genders, POC, LGBTQIA+ and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds. Participants must by 18 or over and will be paid £50 per half day, plus travel expenses. Apply here by 11 PM on Monday, September 26th. No prior experience is necessary.
