  • A coalition of artists, labels, promoters, venues and magazines have penned an open letter urging young people to register to vote. Published today, April 15th, the letter highlights the fact that over six million people aged between 18 and 34 attended festivals last year—roughly the same figure that didn't vote in the last election. "The people in power listen to the voters," the letter read. "They listen to what the voters care about. When you don't vote, the people in power don't listen to us. You raise your voices at our sets. Now it's time to raise them at the ballot box." Among the signees are Annie Mac, Bicep, Eliza Rose, Katy B, AVA Festival, The Cause, Block9 and foundation.fm. Resident Advisor has also signed it. Register to vote, and read the letter in full.
