  • A new festival is launching in Estonia later this year. Taking place at the Estonian National Museum in the city of Tartu from September 19th through 22nd, unda festival will span talks, workshops, exhibits and performances. DJ Marcelle, object blue, Call Super, Elijah, Akimat, Trainspotting author and DJ Irvine Welsh, writer and DJ Yewande Adeniran (AKA Ifeoluwa), writer Emma Warren and Tresor founder Dimitri Hegemann are among the speakers and performers. "unda, a female-run, self-organised collective, is united in our belief that club spaces aren't just venues but crucial hubs for creativity and collaboration," said organiser Elena Natale. "With a diverse programme at the Estonian National Museum, we aim to inspire dialogue about the importance of these spaces and their profound impact on creativity, resilience and community." unda coincides with the autumn equinox, representing the balance between day and night, light and dark, movement and stillness. It's part of Tartu's European Capital of Culture programme. Tartu is the oldest city in the Baltics. As part of the partnership with Tresor, unda will host a two-day showcase at Berlin club OHM across June 28th and 29th. The lineup will be revealed in May.
