  • A book on the history of the Minimoog is being released. Available to pre-order now through Kickstarter, THE MINIMOOG BOOK explores the cultural impact of a synth that helped define modern music. It spans behind-the-scenes photos, discussions with the engineers who built the Minimoog and artist interviews with the likes of Kraftwerk, Devo, Gary Numan and Chick Corea. The writer is journalist and music historian Joe Silva. "We're pulling back the curtain on the history of one of the most iconic electronic instruments ever," said Bjooks founder Kim Bjørn. "The Minimoog's significance is undeniable. This instrument was never restricted to just one type of music: it's been used in jazz, rock, pop, experimental, etc. It was the first real, universally adopted synthesiser, and it changed the face of popular music."
