- The Portuguese quartet will unveil their debut album next month.
Fabric enters into the artist album market next month with Portugal's Buraka Som Sistema debut album in tow.
The group, whose sound has been described as an "electro ghettotech take on their favorite South West African music," has been winning the hearts of the people that you might expect would love such a thing, namely Diplo, M.I.A. and Switch. But BSS is set to go beyond famous admirers, as the quartet of Lil' John, Riot, Conductor and Kalaf have crafted an album that has offbeat pop hit written all over it. A host of those admirers have been turned up as collaborators—including M.I.A. and Kano—and the group's "techno, drum & bass, hip-hop and dance music" fits surprisingly well with the kuduro music that the Angolan-born producer, Conductor, grew up listening to.
