| One-half of secretsundaze and Two Armadillos chats about both.
DJ and producer Giles Smith is invariably linked with secretsundaze, a party that has been one of the cornerstones of London's Sunday club scene for the past decade. Alongside co-founder and fellow resident James Priestley, the event has expanded to include regular parties outside of the UK, a record label and, most recently, a boutique booking agency. Clearly, Smith loves all facets of the clubbing experience.
It's been this way for a long time. Back to Basics in Leeds and visits to Ibiza as a teenager were major influences. So was the Faith crew, who took him under their collective wing when he moved to London in the late '90s. As secretsundaze prepare to celebrate their 10th anniversary, RA's Christine Kakaire met with Smith to talk about the party, his production work with Martin Dawson as Two Armadillos and more.
