RA goes on with the producer behind Storm Queen.
Perfectly sculpted disco, house and boogie is what you hear when you listen to a track made by Morgan Geist. Which is probably why you'd never expect him to be quite so self-deprecating. As one-half of Metro Area and Storm Queen, Geist has been responsible for some of the most celebrated dance music of the past decade. (We, for one, named "Miura" the best track of the '00s.) In person, he's a refreshingly honest personality that doesn't bother to sugarcoat his past (he's still not sure about the solo album that came out under his name in 2008) or the future (there are no plans for a second Metro Area album). We figured that this forthrightness would make for an excellent interview for our RA Exchange series, and we weren't disappointed.
