RA.EX081 Leftfield

A legendary electronic act opens up.

Leftfield are one of the most celebrated electronic music acts of all-time. Their first album, 1995's Leftism, is a certified classic that took in the many genres that fascinated group members Paul Daley and Neil Barnes. House, dub, breakbeat and reggae—all shot through with a punk energy, not least courtesy of John Lydon's vocal on "Open Up." In this conversation with RA's Saoirse Ryan, Barnes talks about how the ex-Sex Pistol collaboration came about, reveals the secret behind why the group's live shows were so loud and what to expect at the War Child Show this April.
