The underrated producer talks about the cross-pollination of the NYC underground in the early and mid-'00s.
Each year at Boulder's Communikey Festival, an outdoor event takes pride of place as one of the standout parties at a festival full of them. This year's headliner for that gig was David Last, a former New Yorker who just recently made the move to Colorado. He put together a set of slow, sexy dub-inflected house that was easily one of the festival's best sets. The multi-talented Last has a standup comic for a father, has illustrated shoes and made books (not written, but literally made), so we had plenty to talk about when we sat down with him as part of our ongoing series of live RA Exchanges at events around the world.
