Ataxia is a Greek word for a condition that causes temporary loss of muscle control. The name is suiting for Detroit dance music duo Ted Krisko and Eric Ricker. From their beginnings as party promoters and their deep roots touring in punk bands, Ataxia continue to set themselves apart from a world where anyone can be a DJ. Their live sets boast a huge array of analogue and digital equipment, while their extended DJ sets have carried the torch for Detroit’s next wave of emerging artists. Krisko and Ricker now reside as label bosses for the long-standing Detroit dance imprint, D Records. |
