Young Dj from new french electro scene, Charp is spining his frenzied records since 7 years, from fancy clubs to underground parties. He was influenced at first by artists such as Ricardo Villalobos, R.Hawtin, Gui Boratto, Loco Dice or Laurent Garnier.
He likes to groove on your feet and mind with a wide range of sounds from Minimal to techno.
After a first tour in Asia in Summer 2008 , he decided that it was time for him to improve his style and put down his record bags in Shanghai for a while. He started to prove himself, in different clubs and bars of Shanghai ( Lounge18, Bar Rouge, G+, Logo, dada, Anar, shelter...)
As of 2009, Charp took part in big events such as Blender Festival or Abeisha Fashion show…. At the same time he started to organize his own parties : Cybernature, The unknowns, Let’s play and Deep Stuff, where he invited various well known arstists from the Shanghainese scene.
In 2010 he started to get resident parties, one in the eclectic LOGO (Cybernature), one weekly residency at MAO CLUB ( every Wednesday - Deep Deep ) , one monthly at SHIVA Lounge ( Deep Stuff ), an other monthly at LOLA. Since 2011, others are coming …
Strengthened by these fast and efficient experiences, and after breaking dancefloors all around Shanghai, Charp is now starting to share the decks with international Djs when they pass by Shanghai ( Boys Noize, Paul Kalkbrenner, Felix Da Housecat, Paul Ritch, Okain … )
While he is in France, Charp plays in different kind of events, with djs such as Chris Tietjen (Cocoon recording) and Cesar Merveille (Cadenza record).
Always focused on new tones, sounds and artists, his music is a mix of minimalist deep house and techno. His DJ set has been spotted between other DJs in Shanghai for his energetic and melodious way of understanding music, always stiring up the audience.
