DexInPublic Presents... In the time since DexInPublic was conceived it has accumulated some of the most random and eclectic events. From the weekly open decks night 'DJ' held in East London, which saw some of the freshest and newest DJ talent from all over, to DexInPublic 'Toilets' in the heart of London Soho for a one off record launch party to 'LongPlay' (RESPECT YOUR ELDERS) on Brick Lane which chose to showcase the best of the bunch from the weekly open decks nights and then to find itself taking a small holiday to Australia late 2006 to be witness to it's 1st pool party. (GREAT FUN), to then go back underground at 'The Gramaphone' back in old London Tawn and onwards... The black book of new DJ's who cast their skills on the prestigious and well oiled decks grew thicker and thicker and from the simple concept of allowing new and old DJ's, established or not to come and show their music on an easily accessible public platform where ALL styles are welcome was as insightful as it was entertaining and ear opening and to this day the DexInPublic data base continues to grow even more varied and eclectic and prides itself on maintaining the very same attitude as it did when it was born. 'Everyone's a DJ' and if you are what you play then we want you. Mission Statement for open dex concept - We want Djs at any level of experience, to have the opportunity to thrive within this competitive industry and at the very least enjoy the opportunity to be heard in public. This creates extra exposure for young talent and DexInPublicl take those Dj's to bigger audiences for bigger exposure and push you in the right direction to pick this great skill up. We want to attract large audiences and expose them to different types of music, with other like-minded people - We want the industry / promoters to look upon the night for new talent and provide a regular platform for vital networking, added exposure and experience and good old fashioned parties - We're gaining a solid reputation for putting on a good night and it reflects in our enthusiasm for new styles - In order for this to happen, we need DJ's- If that's you,then come join us! . .
