Editorial# 8 - 'Cross-Corner ' EP
DJ Raw Sugar started deejaying in the mid 90's spinning techno records at the legendary Tresor club. Soon he discovered his love for house music and was part of the vibrant Berlin club scene. In 1997 he won the KISS FM Berlin Next Generation Deejay award as one of the most exciting newcomer deejays at the time. His eclectic deejay-sets are oozing sultry grooves and take you off the beaten track but never off the dancefloor. Now being based in Auckland, New Zealand, he explores the roots of modern club music on two weekly radio shows (Paint it Black & Soul Slap) and his weekly podcast, sharing his love for funk, soul, disco, boogie, hip hop, and house. DJ Raw Sugar's productions reflect this broad spectrum of influences and are characterized by deep and earthy house beats which amalgamate with sweet and raw sounds. He has released re-edits, re-mixes and original tracks on lowercase sounds, editorial and gazeebo.
