Ilya Simioni was influenced by American music such as funk, soul, disco and r & b. In 1987, he took a course to DJ with Irai Campos, one of the forerunners of the DJ training course in Brazil. In 1989 he participated in the DMC BRAZIL and reached the top ten DJs along with some names still present in the music scene.

After his residence in Atlanta from 1989 to 1994 he made history in Sound Factory club, São Paulo until 1998. During this period he played on the radio program "Sound Factory the Best Party in Sao Paulo" on Metro FM radio. This program has great audience segment electronic underground, playing musical styles like house, techno, jungle and hardcore. This phase was marked by musical and cultural exchanges with foreign DJs, as brought enrichment and discovery of mixing long and uncut (prominent feature on the set of Ilya Simioni).
From 1997 to 2004 he worked at Rhythm Records record shop that revolutionized the record market in Brazil. "Rhythm" as it is affectionately known, offered him daily contact with DJs, enriched his repertoire and musical tastes since he was responsible for picking out the albums sold in the shop, mainly searching for musical quality.
He collaborated with Hypno agency (1999-2005), and played in big festivals: Rave Turbulence, the anniversary of the Lov.e Playcenter, Peace Parade, Bavaria Vibe (Maresias) and birthday DJ Anderson Noise in BH alongside Laurent Garnier. In 2003 he began writing for the site of journalist Erica Palomino, exploring the launch of electronic music in evidence. In the same year played at Skol Beats DJs Electric Project. After 2005, he followed an independent career playing in clubs as Dedge, Clash, The loca, Vegas and some projects of alternative circuit in Sao Paulo. Currently, along with his DJ work, he acts as a teacher in training school Ultra dee Jays.
