Matt-Jay, the former President of Hull University's DJ Society - aka `Crystal Clear' - is a Minimal Techno & Underground House DJ

After starting off playing student House-parties and smaller club gigs whilst still at university, he has gradually been making his mark on the Underground-House scene in Hull for the last year.

Matt's musical passion and style when playing techno lies in technical progression with influences come from many sources but mainly; Marco Carola, Richie Hawtin, Hobo, MiniCoolBoyz, Gasier, Loco Dice and Ramon Tapia, amongst others.

After developing a reputation for breaking his friends’ soundsystems when first starting out, he has gone on to play with some of the best club nights in the north-east of England such as Koala Techno, POGO, Shinobi D’n’B, and more.
Recently Matt has become a resident for POGO at Hull's [W]elly Club, along with SuckMyDeck at Hull's newest club Stereo in the heart of the city.
