About ROMERO. / Starting as a DJ for parties with friends, Romero venturing into this art to his concern for sound incentives suddenly bursting on the local scene in the capital Caracas - Venezuela. Culminating studying Audio Engineering, Romero continues to offer sounds intertwined on the dancefloor. Influenced by a wide spectrum of sounds this dj show us his energy and feeling in musical production, creating structures that feed simultaneously danceable soul.
From a elegant way he continues work record and remixing for the label of Uruguay Minimo Records, he participates in "Minimo Tech Vol. 2 (Minimo Records - URG) [MR066]" remixing the track "The Hope" authored by Julio Gonzalez y Marco Gonzalez, with a dense proposal combining between the deep and dark sounds. Remixing the original track by Jesus Balza "El Diamante" from the E.P "El Diamante (Reix Records - VEN) [Res.]". Later he created his first original track called "Hee - Haa" included in the E.P "Things & Stuff! (Elite Records - MEX) [ER045]" mix well searched between dance music and ethnic sounds making clear its African American roots.
In search of new musical influences collaborated with the Venezuelan Dj & Producer Carlos Cres, creating a deep version of the track "Ojalá" from the "Ojalá E.P (CE Records - VEN) [CER039]" then remix the original track from the producers Sheehan & Clausen "Cuando Uno Se Enamora" from "The Sound of Amsterdam (90 Watts Records - NED) [9033]" and later participates in a dub version of the song "Balera" which belongs to "A Midsummer Night (Suite Music - MEX) [SM021]". Romero was invited by Alex Dimou, from Greece - Athens, to participate in a remix of the song "Sodium" from "The Dimou Project Part. 2 (Elite Records - MEX) [ER057]" experimenting with percussion and organic sounds without putting aside their intention to nurture body and soul. Romero continued composing for to the dance floor in favor of new electronic standards. |
