Having been brought up in a highly diverse musical household Simon often found himself listening to his fathers LP collection which ranged anything from Jazz legend Courtney Pine through to the KLF, Frank Zappa, Kraftwerk and David Bowie to name a very small few.

Having enjoyed such musical variances during his childhood years Simon started djing professionally at the tender age of 17 after being introduced to the art of djing as a 14 year old. Early influences were drawn from electronic acts and progressive house DJs such as Underworld, Orbital, Daft Punk, Sasha and Danny Tenaglia, drum and bass from the likes of LTJ Bukeem and Hip Hop from act such as De La Soul and Wu-Tang. These early influences manifested themselves into a love for electronic house music and this grew stronger with regular visits to local and national clubs as well as many festivals such as Homelands, Cream Fields and trips abroad to soak up the best nightlife experiences that the world has to offer.

In 2002 Simon accepted a design position at djstore.com. This was ideal as it allowed time for both djing at night and playing with dj equipment and meeting industry hard hitters by day. With his degree in product design Simon moved to Miami in 2005 where the soulful and latino house sounds of South Beach quickly became a loving obsession. Many parties were had and the good times rolled whilst soaking up the atmosphere and djing in some of the best bars and clubs that SOBE had to offer such as Tantra, Nikki Beach and the Pawnshop in Downtown.

Currently Simon is back in the UK where he is Saturday night resident at snafu (clubsnafu.com). This shining light based in Aberdeen was voted in the top 100 clubs in the world by DJ Mag in 2010 and continues to develop into one of the most highly respected and influential night clubs in Scotland. With its recently installed Funktion One sound system the legendary Scottish crowd, Snafu provides an inspiring and unprecedented atmosphere which just has to be sampled.

Saturday night at Snafu brings with it a unique sound which has a large and passionate following. To date Simon has DJ'd with the likes of Booka Shade (first ever UK dj set), Joris Voorn, Heidi, M.A.N.D.Y, Shlomi Aber, Digitalism, Italoboyz, SLAM, Silicone Soul, Funk D’Void, Gene Farris, Dave Clarke, Derrick Carter, Christian Smith, Riva Starr, MANIK (NYC), Simon Baker ,Damian Lazarus, Steve Bug, David August, Spencer Parker, Hermanez, SAYTEK, Josh Wink and the list goes on.

Simon hopes to release some studio work in the not to distant future and continues to indulge himself in the best underground house music whilst continually looking at adding the biggest names to Snafu's flagship Saturday night. Simon's style can be classed as deep and dark house with elements of tech although he is not limited to this range.
