The Stereostrip duo has been on the tiny electronic music market of Hungary since 2007. The formation consists of two old friends, Peter Takacs and Gabor Palko who have been good friends since their childhood. Their interest towards music started to flourish during their secondary school years- it is true though that at that time into two very different directions. While Peter was fond of melodical, progressive music, Gabor turned towards techno: on his fatherland, in Transcarpathia he regularly organised parties for the fans of the genre, where he himself span vinyls as well. This difference in lifestyle might have been what finally united the musical taste of these two boys, and this is where the characteristic, strongly funk-based techish sounding of the Stereostrip ’band’ was born. Getting into the final of the Justmusic FM talent show presented the boys with several new opportunities, since they got the chance to build perfect relationships within their profession in Hungary. Though they have never kept it a secret, Stereostrip has only been a pleasant free-time activity for them, but they had the chance to make music with the greatest names of Hungarian club life which inevitably made them more enthusiastic. Compared to lots of djs nowadays Stereostrip did not become well-known due to producing. However, the boys have never questioned the importance of own music which is proven by the fact that at the moment they are working full blast on their own tracks. In 2011 they joined one of the most important group in Hungary, called StayFly.
