Irish Dj Producer, based in Brasil.. (EchoDeluxe Recordings,Coincidence,Incense,Gobsmacked,BMR, & 606 Recordings,Feyerkind)

A musical passion came from From passing around recorded tapes of the early
hardcore days : dj´s like Lenny D, Fantasia and carl Cox to listening to Pirate radio stations.
His love for electronic nighlife began before the time he reached his teenage years.
The young record collector began working in one of Ireland´s most well known and
iconic club named Pa´s. Late school nights and weekends where spent experiencing the
best Dj´s from around Ireland, the uk and europe. Soon he built up a collection of
tapes, cd´s and later vinyl.

His passion for mixing vinyl was ignited while Playing on his friends
1210´s, So he saved the cash and bought a set of turntables and a mixer.
Weekly trips to Dublin were the norm to buy vinyl in shops like Tag records,
Wired records, Abbey Discs, Purple Moon and many second hand record shops to find more
obscure music. Techno and House music were the vast majority in his collection
built up over the coming years. Djing at house parties along with dj sets
in local clubs and venues such as Rock the planet and Transmission.

His love for music grew and he studied sound engineering in Pulse recording college.
Gavin and his group won the best track recorded for the college award in 2001 with
their version of U2´s ´with or with out you´.
He also Dj´d at the annual end of year party held in O´Connell st. in the Metropolitan
organised by the college where he was recognised as the best live dj act,
at the same time learning how to read, write and compose music. A year later
he took a few months of piano lessons to further improve his compositional skills.
During his time studying in Dublin, he became a regular in the Night Scene around dublin
visiting clubs like temple bar,D12, the Redbox and The kithchen to name a few.. to hear the
quality spinners like of Norman Jay, Ben Sims, Fabio & GrooveRider.....

After completing the city and Guilds Part one and two in Camden St. Dublin, Gavin moved
to the west to grow a passion for jazzy tribal music. Quickly making close friendships
with several resident dj´s at ´The Blue note´ a bar owned by the G.P.O boss, he dj´d
at clubs and after parties in and around galway city. The sound inspired him and he fell in
love with Jazzy Soulful House, Breaks and Tribal Rhythms. Often visiting Premier clubs like
Club Cuba, Gpo, Kennedys, Blackbox...
In Greece, he was resident in the islands largest club Monacos djing to crowds
of 1,500 seven nights a week. Previous dj´s that played in Monacos where David morales, Roger Sanchez..
He also was special guest dj for clubs like Havannas and The Coach House.

After a few months in Ireland improving his production skills he moved to Baker St. in Central
london, then later a squat on the east side in white chapel. Working at big events in hyde park
like the Rem concert, Queen and, Jamiroquai while at night he expored the vast nightlife
hearing world class performers like Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Luke vibert, Joey Negro, Mr.c, Layo
and Bushwacka, the scratch perverts, Dj hell.. in infamous clubs like Fabric, The end,
Turn Mills, one thousand and one, the keys, the cross.. `Experiencing the London
nightlife left a big impression on me, unforgettable´ he ads with a smile. Often beginning the
night in the aka bar or in a picadilly pub, later going to the end or the keys to dancing the
night away into the next morning at wild after parties finished off by djing at squat parties
in around Camden town, Bricklane and elephant and castle. He recorded a few tracks
in the basement of a soho studio which are currently unreleased and may see the light next year.

Back home for a brief period he travelled to Brasil for a few months. Another short trip
to Dublin and a few months in London he decided to return to Brazil, a country he had fallen in love with.
`Spectacular scenery, hot climate, amazing restaurants, very freindly people with a
great love for electronic music and a passion for partying, Brazil had captivated me with great
ease´ Gavin explains. After playing at many outdoor parties and bars and clubs he gained a valuable
vision of the sound in south america. Producing many tracks in his studio - signed to numerous labels,
with his first release on limited vinyl to coincidence records (belgium),incense records (Spain)
,606 records (UK), Gobsmacked Records (Ireland) very busy on the production front indeed!

I Enjoy key mixing genre fusions of Jazz, Soul, Punk, Acid, Disco, Funk, Reggae, Blues, Latin,Tech,
Tribal, and Jackin Deep World rhythms..with House,Techno, Electro & Ocassionally Dubstep & DnB.
Got into music through a very early fascination of Piano, synthesis and sound in general.
