U-Theory is a dance music and entertainment group which grew out of the creative minds of three dynamic producers: Edgar Guerrero, Romel Veera and Kyle Sullivan.
About utheory /
Guerrero and Veera collectively have more than a decade's experience in music and music production, while Sullivan brings an alternate perspective to the group's creative vision with 15 years working in digital arts, content development, and audio engineering. Outside of their extensive DJ and music production experience, the trio carries a vast knowledge of the music and entertainment industries. Veera previously worked as an audio engineer and studio manager for Erick Morillo at his label Subliminal Records. Guerrero has worked as the Director of Operations for Mission nightclub in Miami Beach, and hosted a radio show on WOMB.com, while also working as a partner in Beatcamp - the highly successful drum 'n' bass and experimental electronic music event. Finally, outside of his daily professional activities, Sullivan has organized dance music events throughout his career working as Events Chairman for non-profits such as Giving Opportunities To Others, along with his extensive work in private entertainment industries.
Specializing in the house music genre, U-Theory is not afraid to stretch their musical limits. In addition to the group's well tailored underground style, they are always experimenting with the larger electronic music spectrum. One can easily find the likes of Techno, Progressive, or Electro emerging from any of their live sets and frequently released DJ mixes, available on the group's official website: http://www.u-theory.com.
More recently the group has embarked on original music productions, set for release later this year, while continuing to book gigs at some of New York's most elite dance venues. Their willingness to play a variety of sounds is what sets them apart from many others in the industry, and opens the door for new opportunities working with some of the best creative talent. Still holding true to who they are and what they play, U-Theory’s sound and vision has begun garnering attention from some of New York’s more popular nightclubs. Sullivan Room/Hall, Bar 13, along with recently opened 116 are just a few of the venues where the trio has delighted audiences with their musical talents. The group also hosts a weekly event every Monday night at 116 in the West Village entitled "Monday Maneuver".
U-Theory ~ hear it! feel it! live it!
