VieL (Vasilis Lampaounas) was born in Pyrgos (a small town in Greece) in 1979.At the age of 15 he started playing music on a local radio station in his hometown. Exploring several sounds such as acid jazz, soul, ambient, techno and drum' n' bass quickly found his love for house and electronic music.It was the time he started buying vinyls and taking part to many parties as a dj. In 1997 he moved to Athens to study Public Administration and Economics at Panteion University, playing in parallel as a resident dj in a cafe-bar near his University - more events and party nights were involved at Panteion University, ASOEE University, TEI Aigalew and many more. From 2000 til 2002 he was resident dj to the "legendary" FLORAL music bar playing soulful, deep-jazzy and tech house beside the best djs and producers such as Nikos Diamantopoulos. After that VieL had the opportunity to play as a guest dj to many bars in several towns arround Greece keeping the quality of electronic music. Since 2007 VieL has been making his own tracks, followed by his mood and his lovely music genres: House, Electronica, Dub & Deep techno sounds. In 2008 VieL & Rebus formed the 'Metrics' project - based on deep & tech house sounds - always keeping the quality of sound and performance in high levels at the most cool places in Athens... VieL as guest dj: IvI, Wunderbar (Exarhia, Athens), Loop (Thisio, Athens), Soul, Astron, Joy Art Bar (Psiri, Athens), Skull bar (Athens), Buzz, Almodobar (Gazi, Athens), R-bar, Fuego Bar (Pyrgos). VieL is still DJing and making his own tracks...
