Mooch 4th Birthday at Basing House
Ed Jones aka Yellowcake's genre spanning dj’ing career began over 12 years ago in the deep dark West England, with a keen interest in all things D&B back in the late 90’s he continued his journey through into Breaks setting up camp in Bristol through to the mid naughties. Feeling a change of scene and a move to the Big Smoke, Ed linked up with Natalie Coleman to found Mooch, a club night consistently picked out by the dance press as the destination for Tech-House & Techno in Shoreditch. This represented a definitive change of direction moving away from broken beats and establishing a new base in 4/4. Ed's resident sets @ Mooch, have only served to enhance his reputation for laying down sets that keep the punters on their toes with an edgy, groove orientated and dubby brand of Tech-House crafted from a broad musical history.

Despite a relatively recent switch to 4/4 he’s already been seen rocking floors @ Public life, Cable, Horse & Groom, Cargo, EGG, Aquarium, Bocking St, with diverse acts from tINI, Timid Boy, Leeks, Guti, Anthea, Ron Costa, Appleblim, Chris Finke & Liberator crew. A 2nd residency with record label & sound system collective KSS has given him a chance to flex the harder Techno side of his musical muscle with sets at underground venues across London and Teknivals in France. With big plans for Mooch and his 2011 diary already getting blocked out its set to be another vintage year for the former country boy from Hereford.
