Futura is a DJ collective from Berlin - deeply rooted in the cities' underground dance music scene and holding up a strong love for high-quality and emotional music no matter what it's called.
The parties consist of different styles and atmospheres but always oscillate around a housy feeling and a jacking groove. Founded in 2008, the first futura evenings took place at the now legendary M12 club located at Berlin's Alexanderplatz with DJs like Fiedel (MMM, Berghain), Kriton (melting point) as well as Christophe Degars and Jochen Otto from keep:on.
The idea was not only to have different musical styles but also to emphasize visual aspects of night life - preferably by visual artists U-Matic & Telematique.
One year later futura moved to a neat place in Prenzlauer Berg, the Diller bar, where bookings included artists such as Benji DF (cbs, hanoben.de), Steffi (Berghain, Klakson), Vladimir Ivkovic (Substance, Desolat), Tomtomgroove (Polyfon), René Löwe (Vainqueur, Scion) among others.
Now futura will take a further step with the help of longtime friends and supporters and grow into a full-scale club night.
