BINGO is a night that doesn't book big name guests, instead the residents (Nick Stevenson and Porno Joe) are happier spending those DJ fees on daft stuff such as a bag full of hats, presents for the entire crowd - a giant badger suit, or a Sambuca armistice.
We've staged fashions shows, plastic ball fights, meanwhile our NYE parties are held in quirky locations like old strip clubs, barges on the Thames meanwhile this year for NYE we're looking at an old prison.
This summer we've started doing not just our monthly in Shoreditch but also some spin off nights; 'Bingo Up North' (where we have a quarterly residency in Leeds), 'Bingo down the Boozer' (a night at the Old Queen's Head in Angel) and now just confirmed for November talks with 'Bingo Soho' which will start in November at Punk.
Music wise our nights run by the mantra; dirty house, wanky electro and party nonsense although recently we've started phasing out the electro toss for more tight-jeaned-indie-filter-rave. Although our music policy doesn't take itself too seriously, our sets are still peppered liberally with upfront credible stuff a lot of DJs in the capital would kill to get their hands on.
Bingo is ran by three idiots who would rather make a party than make a profit. As soon as it starts to feel like work we change the format. We've turned down residencies at a lot of London's major clubs as they rarely understand us not wanting pay daft DJ fees to draw crowds. We'd rather put on memorable parties than trendy club nights.
