Capital Classique is an Australian based independent record label, established by local artist Rodean in 2013.
The Sydney clutch have been around for a good while. Rodean, who producers and performs under the guise, Rodskeez, is an electronic music devotee and Capital Classique’s honcho. An aficionado of techno and tech house, Rodskeez has supported the likes of Sasha, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Stimming and many more. He plays gigs locally, interstate and has played an international show at New Caledonia’s infamous ‘I Love Sundays’ for the Subculture Crew. The music man also has releases on CR2, Renaissance Music and TRAUM labels to name a few.
Kick starting the label was a way for Rodskeez and other Sydney creators to showcase their production smarts. Rodskeez and his peers share an unshakeable passion for electronic music
and production, so constructing a platform to house the their works was a logical and exciting move. Capital Classique exhibits a broad range of accessible, intelligent sounds that will appeal to both lovers of the underground and mainstream folk.
To celebrate the launch of the fresh young label, the Classique clan will offer releases free of charge, after which a ‘name your price’ option for those wishing to purchase tracks will ensue. A ‘Classique Reel’ on soundcloud will also provide listeners an opportunity to hear varied productions, mix tapes and podcasts form the music men, all avaibale for free.
Capital Classique is an idea, a place for those with a serious involvement in music to access usable dance tracks. It is also a place for those who simply like sourcing new music to listen to.
